Oba Ajakaiye Memorial Cup Final: Ado LFC Faces Ikole LFC

Ado local football council U13 boys will slug it out with Ikole U13 boys in the finals of the Oba Ademola Ajakaiye Memorial U-13 football competition.

The Coach Femi Kumuyi tutored boys played a 1-1 draw in the semi finals against another fans favorite, Irepodun Ifelodun U-13 team.

The game was decided on penalties with Ado U-13 team conquering 5-4 to book a slot in the finals.

In the other semi final, Gbonyin U13 boys succumbed to the firepower of the Ikole boys with two quick goals from Adekunle Seun in the 47th minute and Isaiah Oguntade of Ikole in the 49th minute cancelled Surakatu Izullahi 9th minute goal to send Ikole into the finals.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Honourable Akin Oyebode has promised to be at the finals to drum support for Ikole U13 boys.

Oyebode who gave the Ikole boys winning bonus after their semi final triumph has promised to do more if the boys lifts the giant trophy.

The Ado U13 boys whose kits were donated by Hon. Ayodeji Ogunsakin would have not only him present to support the boys, but the incumbent Chairman Chief Mrs. Motunde Fajuyi who donated handsomely towards the success of the competition and the motivation of the boys would also be physically present to cheer them to victory.

The finals is slated for Iyin Ekiti on Wednesday 31st March, 2021
