The Super Eagles of Nigeria has been drawn in the Group D of the 2021 edition of the African Cup of Nation alongside the most successful team in the competition, Egypt. The other teams in the Group is the first host of the competition, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau who made their debut in the tournament in Gabon, 2017.
The AFCON 2021 will be hosted by Cameroon. There six Groups while the best two teams in each Group will qualify automatically to the second round of the tournament, four best losers will join the qualified twelve to make the round of sixteen.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria and The Pharaoh of Egypt are expected to scale through the group stage.
