CALEB UNIVERSITY HOLDS HISTORIC 13TH CONVOCATION ON SAT 13TH JANUARY: GRADUATES PIONEER PHD HOLDERS

Caleb University Imota, Lagos holds her 13th Convocation, on Saturday 3rd February 2024,
for the conferment of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degrees; Honorary Degrees and Diplomas, at the Imota Main Campus Convocation Arena.

• Honorary Doctorate Degree Awardees*:
Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia and Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun
*Convocation Lecturer*:
Mr Gbenga Omotosho,, Lagos Commissioner for Infaleb University Imota, Lagos holds her 13th Convocation, on Saturday 3rd February 2024,

for the conferment of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degrees; Honorary Degrees and Diplomas, at the Imota Main Campus Convocation Arena.

The Convocation Lecturer, Mr Gbenga Omotosho, a veteran journalist, Editor, columnist, with over 35 years in the media, spanning The Guardian Newspaper as sub-Editor; deputy Editor of Guardian Express; Editor of the Saturday Guardian; pioneer Editor of Comet Newspaper; pioneer Editor of the Nation Newspaper and currently the Lagos State Information and Strategy Commissioner, will speak on ” *Closing the Generational Gap between the Old and the Young in Nigerian Politics* ”

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Nosa Owens-Ibie, who is excited about the event, declared that “this convocation is marking a turning point in the consolidation of the University’s culture of academic excellence, with the maiden graduation of Doctorate degree holders, and another evidence of critical demonstration of stakeholder confidence in and identification with the Caleb brand.”

Caleb University will be graduating her pioneer doctorate students, and award honorary degrees to two distinguished Nigerians – Rev Fr Dr Hycinth Alia, Executive Governor of Benue State, and the Inspector General of Police, (Dr) Olukayode Egbetokun.

Convocation Dignataries include His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II; Her Eminence, Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi of Love of Christ International Church; and Mr Adaralegbe Akintayo of Tpumpy Estate Development.

The theme for the graduating “Regal” set is “Pacesetters,” and various Convocation activities including the Hooding (ceremony) for the pioneer Doctorate graduands on Friday 2nd February, climaxing in the Convocation Lecture, Postgraduate Degrees and Honorary Degrees award on Saturday 3rd February, 2024.
