In a stunning upset, Unification Ladies defeated FC Robo of Lagos in a 4-3 penalty shootout after a goalless draw, halting FC Robo’s 14-year consecutive LSFA Federation Cup victories.

Unification Ladies’ Director expressed pride in the team’s progress, noting that after last year’s 5-0 loss to FC Robo at the same stage, they returned to the drawing board and are now proud of their achievement.

According to Prince Oyekan, this victory is attributed to diligent preparation and addressing past weaknesses.

This result not only highlights Unification Ladies’ remarkable progress but also signals a potential shift in the competitive landscape of Lagos women’s football.
