Buzzify Agency has emerged victorious in the February 2025 Graduate Edition of the Battleship Digital Marketing Training, a prestigious competition organized by the Lagos Digital Marketing Academy (LDMA).
At the start of the training, participants were divided into two competing agencies—Buzzify and DigiProx—and tasked with developing a Digital Marketing Strategy for LandNexus. The goal? To create a compelling project by the end of the program, with the winning team earning the opportunity to collaborate on a real-life marketing project with the Academy.

The final showdown was intense, with both teams impressing the panel. However, Barrister Aderinsola Fagbure, a corporate lawyer and Principal Partner at In Black and White LP, had the tough job of selecting a winner. While DigiProx demonstrated superior strategy, Buzzify clinched the victory thanks to their well-structured presentation, confident delivery, and strict adherence to time. The lead presenter, Abiahu Toochi, stood out with an exceptional performance that sealed the win for Buzzify.
Daniel Malik, the founder of LDMA, couldn’t hide his emotions as he addressed the participants:
“I want to give it to you all—you have done amazingly well! You’ve shown a high level of understanding and strategic thinking. In the creative world, people talk about right-brained and left-brained thinkers, but no brain is bad. The key is teamwork. When presenting to highly intelligent people, don’t school them—show them your strategy.”
He also made a major announcement:
- The winning team, Buzzify, will start their new project in June.
- Both presentations will be submitted to LandNexus, as there’s potential for collaboration with both agencies.
- He has pledged to mentor all Battleship graduates for life, offering free assistance on challenging projects.
In addition, those who missed any lessons or needed further clarity on topics can rejoin the next batch in April at no additional cost, which will also include the SEO class that was skipped this time around.
The energy in the room was electric as participants reflected on their experiences. Ochokpa Raphael Moses (Lordraph) summed up the participants experience with his reaction on the Battleship platform:
“Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! Thank you, Mr. Malik, our amazing facilitator. I’m super grateful, sir, for your humility and your amazing nature. I can’t wait to start working under your mentorship. I want to be at that level where you are; I want to be at that knowledge level of the Digital marketing skill.”
He also gave a heartfelt shoutout to his fellow participants:
“Thank you everyone. I hope we will build upon the foundation that has been deposited in us, and this will be a springboard of great collaboration.” He hoped to work with every single participant of this Battleship Alumni in the future.”
