She reached out to me in distress, her words heavy with fear and confusion. “I’ve been wanting to talk to you for a while,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “My marriage is falling apart, and I don’t know what to do.”

At first, I thought it was the usual marital struggles—communication issues, financial stress, or emotional distance. But then she dropped the real bombshell.

“My husband is pressuring me for a threesome.”

I paused, choosing my words carefully. “Have you done it before?”

She sighed. “Yes, before we got married. The pressure was too much then, and I gave in. I even called a friend to join us.”

I asked what had become of that friend. “She’s married now, with kids.”

And then I told her something she already knew but never wanted to face: “You started what you couldn’t finish.”

She let out a heavy breath. “My home is tearing apart. I have no one to talk to.”

At this point, I tried to reason with her. “Since you agreed to it in the past, maybe there’s a way to work around the situation. You know your husband better than anyone.”

But she quickly cut in, “No, Comrade, you don’t understand. This is different. He’s not asking for another woman this time. He wants another man in our bed—his friend. He has already spoken to him, and his friend has agreed.”

I was stunned.

“I would rather end this marriage than accept that. My only problem now is our three children,” she continued, her voice trembling.

Then came the hardest truth of all—one that too many women find themselves trapped in. “I have nothing. He takes care of everything. He spoilt us with money and made me feel like I never needed to work. And when I wanted to, he never let me. Now, I can’t even stand on my own.”

Her entire life—her children, her finances, her security—depended on a man who was now threatening her dignity and peace.

All I could say in that moment was “Be strong.” But was that really enough?

So now I ask you: What would you tell her?
