Young track sensation Grace Onah delivered a masterclass performance at the MTNChamp Series 3, lighting up the tracks of Lagos with two commanding wins that have firmly established her as one of Nigeria’s most exciting rising stars in athletics.

Representing United Unattached Athletics, Grace showcased both grit and grace as she surged to victory in the women’s U20 1500m, clocking an impressive 4:46.54 to take home the gold medal. But she wasn’t done yet.

Returning to the track with barely any signs of fatigue, she doubled her triumph with yet another gold in the 800m, finishing strong with a remarkable time of 2:17.09 — proving her versatility and endurance in middle-distance events.

Her stellar performance didn’t go unnoticed, and all eyes are now on the 17-year-old as she prepares to take on even tougher competition at the upcoming National Sports Festival in Ogun State. With her form peaking at just the right time, she’s already being tipped as a medal favorite.

Behind every great athlete is a guiding hand, and in Grace’s case, that’s none other than her dedicated coach and mentor, Felix Aladeyemi. His influence and training have played a pivotal role in honing her raw talent into podium-worthy performances.

Grace’s story is one of determination, discipline, and pure talent. From training grounds to gold medals, she’s on a journey that every athletics fan should be watching closely. The future of Nigerian track is looking brighter—and her name is Grace Onah.
