In the early kickoff, the much-anticipated Ogun derby between Stormers SC and FC Ebedei delivered fireworks within the first 21 minutes. FC Ebedei, desperate for a result after a disappointing Match Day One, drew first blood in the 5th minute through Abraham Sharwan, who slotted home after an intelligent build-up from Waliu Ademoyejo.
But the lead barely lasted. Stormers hit back instantly in the 8th minute when Philip John equalized, showcasing the kind of resilience expected in a high-stakes encounter. And they weren’t done—Bassey Aniete nodded home a powerful header in the 21st minute to turn the game around and hand Stormers a vital 2-1 lead. That scoreline held till full-time, breathing life into Stormers’ promotion hopes and eliminating FC Ebedei from contention.

Later in the day, Real Sapphire FC and Joy Cometh FC locked horns in a contest that could have sealed promotion for either side. Both teams entered the tie with three points each, knowing a win would all but guarantee the top spot. The first half ended goalless, but Real Sapphire took the initiative early in the second half, with Olawale Ayodele breaking the deadlock in the 50th minute.
However, complacency crept in. Joy Cometh capitalized on a momentary lapse to draw level late in the game, forcing a 1-1 stalemate that leaves everything to play for on the final day.
