The Amazons are gearing up to face long-time rivals, Rivers Angels, in what promises to be an intense final showdown on June 28 at the iconic Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos. This fixture marks another chapter in the historic rivalry between two of Nigeria’s top women’s football clubs.

During his visit, Commissioner Kwanta expressed confidence in the team’s ability to bring home the title. He highlighted the state’s commitment to supporting women’s football and recalled the team’s 2019 Federation Cup triumph in Kaduna, a moment he proudly witnessed as head of the ministry.

The motivational visit was not only symbolic but also deeply personal. The Commissioner’s words were a rallying call, underscoring the expectations and pride of Nasarawa State. He was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and other senior officials, emphasizing the significance of the occasion.
