The BBNaija Season 9 reunion show is already living up to its dramatic reputation, and this time, it’s former housemates Zion and Chinwe taking centre stage. The ex-lovers made headlines after Chinwe used the reunion platform to air grievances from their now-ended relationship, accusing Zion of being nonchalant and irresponsible—claims that have now sparked a fiery response from Zion himself.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Zion finally addressed the accusations in a lengthy post that has since gone viral. According to him, he had no intention of bringing his private life online, but Chinwe’s version of events forced his hand.
In his statement, Zion expressed frustration at being portrayed as careless and unsupportive. He clarified one of the most controversial points raised by Chinwe—the now-infamous strip club bill.

“Saying I asked you to pay for one bill at the club is crazy stuff… What strip club bill in Lagos is 200K? My crime here was asking ‘my girl’ to help complete a 900K bill after she changed over 300K just to spray on strippers. That’s not even part of the club’s bill,” he wrote.
Zion defended himself against claims that he never took Chinwe on proper dates, asserting there is video evidence of their time together. He also challenged her narrative about how the relationship ended, insisting he attempted to walk away from the relationship twice, only for Chinwe to come back each time.
“And since dating me was that bad, why didn’t you break things off then? Even after I ended things twice, you still cried to get me back… Now you’re here talking.”
While he concluded his post by saying he would not revisit the issue again, it is clear that the drama has only intensified, with fans of the show picking sides and rehashing every detail online.
