The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has appointed Comrade Jibrin Kamga Bancir as his Principal Private Secretary (PPS), effective immediately.
This key appointment marks a significant moment for both the party and Plateau State, as Comrade Bancir brings with him a wealth of leadership experience rooted in activism, labour relations, political strategy, and sports administration.

A long-standing political figure in Plateau, Bancir previously served as the Director-General of the Generation Next Campaign Organization, which was instrumental in mobilizing support for Professor Yilwatda’s political vision. He also held the post of Deputy Director-General, Administration for the Plateau State APC Gubernatorial Campaign Council in 2023, where he played a strategic role in shaping the campaign’s organizational structure.
Before stepping fully into politics, Bancir was a two-term Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Plateau State Chapter. His time in labour leadership earned him a reputation for grassroots mobilization, advocacy for workers’ rights, and effective negotiation, making him one of the most influential union leaders from the region.

His political credentials were further cemented during his time as Special Adviser in the administration of former Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong.
In addition to his political and labour leadership, Comrade Bancir is also deeply rooted in the world of sports. A retired football referee and now a respected Referees Assessor, Bancir currently serves as the Financial Secretary of the Nigeria Football Referees Association (NFRA). His service in the sports sector highlights a dynamic and multi-dimensional public career that blends governance, advocacy, and community development.
