LAGOS, Nigeria — August 9, 2025 – The Big Brother Naija Season 10 house just experienced its first major turning point of the season as Team Meat-Based Diet secured a decisive wager win, leaving their rivals reeling and sparking a fresh power shift in the kitchen.

The night’s wager presentation showcased both teams debating the merits of their assigned diets. Team Meat-Based Diet impressed Big Brother with a polished, well-researched argument, confident delivery, and sharp, coordinated outfits. Their reward was more than bragging rights – they earned the coveted privileges of controlling Saturday’s shopping list and, most importantly, taking charge of the kitchen for the coming week.

The moment Big Brother announced the win, celebrations erupted. Big Soso ran into the house declaring “my kitchen” with uncontained excitement, while Kuture, rubbing his stomach in anticipation, told Imisi to “look at your dinner,” perfectly summing up the relief after days of food scarcity. Big Brother turned up the energy by playing a hype track, transforming the lounge into a party scene.

Meanwhile, Team Plant-Based Diet was left in reflection mode. Housemates Otega, Gigi Jasmine, and Rooboy reviewed the key moments that may have cost them the challenge. A controversial “mad cow” disease reference drew criticism from Big Brother, who pointed out it was an irrelevant and rare occurrence in the context of their debate. Doris admitted she made the comment as a playful jab but suggested the real issue was that too many teammates relied on reading directly from notes. Gigi Jasmine agreed, noting Sultana’s soft delivery made their arguments less impactful. Otega cautioned the group against turning the post-match analysis into a blame game.

On the winners’ side, standout performances earned recognition from Big Brother. Danboskid and Tracy were commended for their energy and confidence, while Faith received special praise for his commanding presentation. In a show of appreciation, his teammates lifted him into the air in celebration. Danboskid, cheered on by Zita, jokingly called himself “their daddy” for being the only housemate in both teams who avoided reading from a script entirely.

For now, both teams still have kitchen access, but once Team Meat-Based Diet officially takes control, they will set the food rules. This could put Isabella in a tricky position. She has openly expressed her need for a steady protein supply, which may not align with the winners’ menu plans. Rooboy suggested the losing team should respect the winners’ rules, and Isabella agreed – but she also made it clear she still expects her protein fix.

Food control has historically been a catalyst for drama in Big Brother’s house, and with Team Meat-Based Diet at the helm, the coming days could see alliances tested, appetites challenged, and tensions rise.
