The Ikeja Super League witnessed another display of dominance from Vinod FA as they cruised to a 4-0 victory over Austenplus FC in a one-sided encounter at the Anwaru Islam College playing ground in Agege.
Right from the first whistle, the match had all the signs of a Vinod FA masterclass. In just the second minute, star striker Anthony Okoli found the back of the net with clinical precision, setting the tone for what would become a long afternoon for Austenplus FC. His second strike came barely twenty minutes later, doubling Vinod’s lead and leaving the opposition chasing shadows.
Although Okoli relentlessly pushed for a hat-trick, he was denied by the referee’s flag when a third goal was ruled offside—a decision he later claimed was incorrect after reviewing footage post-match.
Two more goals from his teammates sealed the emphatic 4-0 victory, ensuring that Vinod FA completed the double over Austenplus FC this season, having also won the first-leg fixture.

Speaking to Awijare News after the game, Okoli expressed both gratitude and a tinge of disappointment:
“First of all, I thank God for the victory and my teammates for their hard work. We worked very hard for this match and deserved the win. I felt bad not getting my hat trick because one goal was wrongly disallowed for offside. I believe I can get it in our next game,” he said.
Despite the scoreline, Okoli refused to label Austenplus FC as a weak side, instead crediting Vinod FA’s preparation and execution on the day.
The brace takes Okoli’s tally to three goals in just two starts this season, and he is already setting his sights higher:

“I promise to work even harder. To the fans, keep supporting us—we are going for the league title,” he declared confidently.
With this latest win, Vinod FA continues to send a clear message to the rest of the Ikeja Super League: they are not just here to compete; they are here to dominate.
