The 2025/2026 season of The Creative Championship League (TCC League) kicked off this weekend with fireworks across different venues as 21 goals were scored in six matches. It was a weekend that had everything: ruthless finishing, emotional celebrations, late drama and a statement of intent from teams determined to set the tone early.
Dino SC Destroy Iganmu Tigers in Ijebu Ode
At the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode, Dino Sporting Club made the loudest noise of Matchday 1 with a stunning 6-0 demolition of Iganmu Tigers. By halftime, the scoreboard already read 5-0 in favor of Dino SC, who showed no mercy. A sixth goal after the restart sealed a perfect opening day.
Forward Asogbon Samuel was unstoppable, deservedly claiming the Man of the Match Award after orchestrating Dino’s attacking brilliance.

Beyond Limit FA Edge Sporting Lagos in Thriller
In Ikenne, newly crowned TCC Super Cup champions Beyond Limit FA squared up against Sporting Lagos FA in what turned out to be a pulsating contest.
Muiz Oladimeji’s 17th-minute strike gave Beyond Limit the lead, but Sporting Lagos fought back through Naziru Ishaq, who equalized in the 75th minute. Just when it seemed the spoils would be shared, Oreoluwa Agbenla smashed home a brilliant free kick in the 86th minute before substitute Daniel A added a third deep into stoppage time to seal a dramatic 3-1 victory.
Adebayo Inspires Gbagada Past Imperial
At the Legacy Pitch in Surulere, Gbagada FC secured a 2-1 win over Imperial FC thanks to an inspired performance from Idowu Adebayo. The forward struck in the 3rd minute and added another from the penalty spot in the 33rd. Imperial pulled one back in the 58th minute through Yemi, but Gbagada held on.
After the match, Adebayo emotionally dedicated his brace to his coach’s child, who celebrated a sixth birthday on the day. His performance earned him the Man of the Match Award.

Atlantic Business Run Riot Against Dannaz
In Ijebu Ode, Atlantic Business FC produced a ruthless second-half display to crush Dannaz FC 4-0. After a goalless first half, captain Dimeji Kilani broke the deadlock in the 64th minute with a towering header. VAR confirmed Aniekan Bassey’s effort in the 69th had crossed the line for the second goal.
The floodgates opened as Moyosore Onikoyi finished off a flowing move in the 81st before Bassey completed his brace with a powerful header in the 84th. Unsurprisingly, Bassey was named Man of the Match.
VOE Academy Stun Valliant Away
The only away win of Matchday 1 came from VOE Football Academy, who stunned Valliant FC with a commanding 4-0 victory. Their performance underlined VOE’s ambitions for the season, showing no fear away from home.

Champions Real Sapphire Held by Broad City
At the Legacy Stadium, defending champions Real Sapphire were surprisingly held to a goalless draw by Broad City FC. Despite the stalemate, Broad City’s forward Sanusi Hanif was recognized as Man of the Match.
