The National League Club Owners and Managers Association (NALCOMA) has applauded the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, for his unwavering commitment to the growth of Nigerian football.
The appreciation came in the aftermath of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Annual General Meeting (AGM), where Gusau’s leadership was described as a driving force behind the successful hosting of the event.
According to NALCOMA, Gusau’s interventions have been instrumental in repositioning the domestic game, ensuring that Nigerian football remains on the path of sustainable development.

Praise for George Aluo and the NNL Board
NALCOMA, led by its President Godwin Enakhena, also commended the George Aluo-led NNL Board for its resilience and reform-driven leadership. Enakhena noted that Aluo and his team have brought focus, innovation, and renewed energy to the second tier of Nigerian football.
“Aluo and his team have demonstrated vision and commitment, qualities that stakeholders believe will make the new season both competitive and entertaining,” Enakhena stated.
He further highlighted the NNL’s continued commitment to discovering and nurturing young talents who will blossom into future stars for both clubs and the national teams.

Welcoming New Executive Committee Members
The AGM also marked the introduction of new NALCOMA Executive Committee members, a move described as a significant boost to league administration.
The newly elected members include:
- Mallam Anas Bamusa, General Manager of Gombe United, who takes over as 1st Vice President, replacing Engineer Auwal Mohammed Gotal of Wikki Tourists.
- Mr Joseph Eno, Chairman of Akwa United, who assumes the role of General Coordinator, South, succeeding Chief Charles Chukwuemeka Nnadi of Kun Khalifat.
- Dr Philip Nongu, Chairman of Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi, who has been appointed as Director of Welfare.
- Alhaji Ahmed Usman Egye, Chairman of Basira FC of Lafia, who now serves as General Secretary.
Enakhena expressed confidence in the new leadership team, stressing that their inclusion will enrich the association’s vision and contribute to the progress of Nigerian football.

Looking Ahead to the 2025–26 Season
With the structures and resolutions adopted at the AGM, NALCOMA declared that stakeholders, fans, and the wider football community can look forward to a well-organized and competitive campaign.
“We are confident and fully prepared for the commencement of the new season. Stakeholders, fans, and the entire football family can expect an exciting and rewarding experience,” Enakhena concluded.
The 2025–26 Nigeria National League season officially kicks off on November 8, 2025.
