Remo Queens head coach, Wemimo Matthew, has credited discipline, determination, cooperation, and focus as the key factors behind her team’s impressive run in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) this season.
Despite being just two years in the top flight, Remo Queens—sponsored by Hon. Kunle Soname—have dominated the league from matchday one and remain strong title contenders. Their latest 2-0 away victory against Dannaz Ladies further solidified their position.
Speaking after the match, Wemimo emphasized the importance of playing good football and converting chances, while also dismissing any pressure, stating:
“We are not under pressure. We keep working hard, staying focused, and making our fans proud.”
She also highlighted her ability to identify and develop young talents, stressing that discipline on and off the field is non-negotiable for her players.
With such a solid foundation, the Remo Queens look set to finish strong and challenge for the NWFL Super-6 title.
