On this special day, as the world celebrates International Women’s Day, I extend my heartfelt appreciation and admiration to all Nigeria Women Football Referees* who continue to break barriers, defy stereotypes, and uphold the values of fairness, integrity, and excellence in football officiating.

The role of women in the beautiful game is no longer confined to the sidelines; it is central to the growth and success of football both in Nigeria and globally. As women referees, you stand as symbols of resilience, professionalism, and courage in an environment that often demands twice the effort to gain half the recognition. But you have refused to be limited. You have risen above challenges, silenced doubters, and proven that *excellence has no gender*.

Each time you step onto the pitch, whistle in hand, you represent more than just yourself—you represent hope for young girls who dream of officiating at the highest level. You embody the strength of Nigerian women, the passion for fairness, and the unyielding spirit of those who refuse to be told, “It cannot be done.”

As we celebrate you today, let this be a reminder that the Nigeria Football Referees Association is committed to *supporting, empowering, and advocating for more opportunities for women in football officiating*. The road ahead may still have its obstacles, but together, we will continue to push boundaries and create a future where women referees are not just accepted but celebrated as equals.

To every woman referee in Nigeria, I say this: You are seen. You are valued. You are inspiring generations. Keep leading, keep blowing the whistle, and keep making history.

Happy International Women’s Day!
