On this special day, as the world celebrates International Women’s Day, I extend my heartfelt appreciation and admiration to all Nigeria Women Football Referees* who continue to break barriers, defy stereotypes, and uphold the values of fairness, integrity, and excellence in football officiating.
The role of women in the beautiful game is no longer confined to the sidelines; it is central to the growth and success of football both in Nigeria and globally. As women referees, you stand as symbols of resilience, professionalism, and courage in an environment that often demands twice the effort to gain half the recognition. But you have refused to be limited. You have risen above challenges, silenced doubters, and proven that *excellence has no gender*.

You embody the strength of Nigerian women, the passion for fairness, and the unyielding spirit of those who refuse to be told, “It cannot be done.”
As we celebrate you today, let this be a reminder that the Nigeria Football Referees Association is committed to *supporting, empowering, and advocating for more opportunities for women in football officiating*.
