After years of silence and heartbreak, Nigerian hip-hop star Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has reconciled with his father, Fatai Odunsi. The reunion comes just days after Odunsi publicly accused his son of abandoning him since his health began to decline in 2022.

In an emotional video shared on Sunday, Odunsi confirmed that Asake had finally reached out, putting an end to their rift. Speaking in Yoruba, he expressed his relief:
“His mother ought to ask him when last he saw me. That was what got me angry, but we have sorted all the problems. We are no longer fighting.”
But this reconciliation goes beyond just words. Asake has vowed to make amends by buying his father a new home and covering all his medical expenses—acts of love and responsibility that Odunsi never expected.
“Asake said he will do everything that I want. We have settled, no more problems. They are now looking for a new house that he will buy for me. He has settled everything.”
In another touching gesture, Asake has also promised to take full responsibility for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat. While Odunsi clarified that the singer never denied his child, he now feels reassured that Zeenat’s future is secure.
This heartfelt reunion is a reminder that, despite fame and fortune, family bonds remain fragile but never truly broken. Sometimes, all it takes is a conversation, a promise, and a willingness to heal.
