The Big Brother Naija Reunion show stirred plenty of drama, but one moment that got fans buzzing was DJ Flo’s emotional revelation about the end of her long-time friendship with fellow housemate Rhuthee. According to DJ Flo, their 10-year relationship crumbled during the show because Ruthie felt betrayed and unsupported.

But in a bold and emotional Instagram Live session, Rhuthee, who was notably absent from the reunion episode, finally spoke up—and she’s telling a completely different story.

According to Rhuthee, it wasn’t about loyalty or being backstabbed in the house. It was about money.

“Fight was because of money, right?” she said during the live stream. “And you people will say called trust and loyalty. And when you break that, it makes room for betrayal… At the end of the day, when you do stuff to people, you throw the stone, hide your hand, and play the victim. What do you expect? That person will come for you.”

Rhuthee’s raw and unscripted rant gave fans a rare glimpse into what she claims was the real cause behind the fallout. She emphasized that trust is important, but once money enters the picture, everything can change—even a decade-long friendship.

“Let’s be honest here. Let’s leave sentiments out of it. If you poke me once, poke me twice, poke me three times, and then you start threatening me… What do you expect?”

Though Ruthie didn’t go into the exact details of the financial dispute, her passionate response left no doubt that something deeper than on-screen tension happened behind closed doors.

Fans remain divided, with some siding with DJ Flo’s version of events while others appreciate Rhuthee’s candour. Regardless of where the truth lies, it’s clear that money, trust, and fame don’t always mix well, especially when reality TV is involved.
