When passion meets persistence, greatness is inevitable. For Adebayo Adeboye, the CEO and Chairman of Arubinjaga Football Academy, victory at the 2025 Lagos State Football Association Men’s State League is not just a trophy—it’s a symbol of a dream nurtured from the streets of Lagos.
Arubinjaga FA, representing the Mainland Conference, emerged as champions after 12 intense weeks of league matches and a dramatic Super 4 finale. Outlasting 13 other league contenders and dozens more eliminated during the divisional stages, Arubinjaga now proudly wears the crown as the top grassroots football team in Lagos.

Speaking exclusively with Awijare Sports, a visibly elated Adebayo Adeboye expressed the sheer joy of achieving this historic milestone.
“I’m so happy. Very, very happy. I can’t believe it,” he beamed. “With all my players and the management, I believe they’re so happy too. That we won the trophy – it means everything to us.”
What Comes Next? National Ambition and Youth Development
For Arubinjaga FA, this title is only the beginning. Their next target is the National League One (NLO), and Adeboye is confident the team will rise through the ranks.
“I believe this is a stepping stone. We started from the street. From the street to the state league. From the state league to the NLO. I believe the whole of Nigeria will hear about Arubinjaga,” he declared with conviction.
