It was a day of joy, national pride, and recognition as the Super Falcons of Nigeria received a grand presidential reception in Abuja following their remarkable victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Held at the State House on Monday, the reception was hosted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who paid glowing tribute to the players and technical crew for their contribution to the nation’s growing football legacy.

The team, who defeated hosts Morocco 3-2 in a dramatic WAFCON final to secure Nigeria’s record 10th continental title, were hailed as beacons of hope and inspiration to millions of Nigerians—especially young girls with dreams of achieving greatness.
