The 2025 NWFL Nationwide League kicked off in style at the Bwari Township Stadium in Abuja as Rangers Women FC of Enugu announced their intentions early with a commanding 3–0 victory over Osklean FC of Port Harcourt on Saturday morning.

The Enugu-based side wasted no time setting the tone for what promises to be an intense promotion race. Just four minutes into the match, forward Chisom Onuchukwu fired home the opener to give Rangers Women the early advantage.

Despite a few attempts from Osklean FC to level the score, Rangers’ defence held firm as the first half ended 1–0 in favour of the Enugu side.

The second half saw a more composed and determined Rangers team, and the introduction of Pius Peace added even more bite to their attack. In the 68th minute, Peace doubled their lead with a calm finish that left Osklean’s goalkeeper rooted to the spot.

Rangers Women sealed the victory in the 82nd minute when Onuchukwu struck again, bagging her second goal of the game and completing a memorable 3–0 triumph.
