The Orile Agege community is once again set for an emotional and thrilling football spectacle as the second edition of the Oloyede Cup reaches its grand finale. Beyond the goals and competition, this tournament stands as a powerful tribute to the life and legacy of Pa Oludayo Oloyede, fondly known as Baba Referee, a respected football referee, educator and community pillar whose impact continues to shape young lives even after his passing.

The Oloyede Cup has quickly grown into more than a grassroots competition. It is a celebration of mentorship, discipline and opportunity woven together through football.

Who Won the First Edition of the Oloyede Cup?

Mageeco FA emerged as champions of the inaugural Oloyede Cup edition, setting the standard for excellence and competitive spirit. Their journey in the first edition not only earned them the trophy but also cemented their status as a powerhouse within the community football space.

Now in the second edition, Mageeco FA return to the final with a chance to defend their crown and write history as the tournament’s first back-to-back champions.

The four-team invitational tournament kicked off on December 14, 2025, and concludes on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the Ile Pako Amoo Field in Orile Agege.
