Odogbolu town was a bee hive of activities on Tuesday July 7, 2020 at the magnificent OLADIPO DIYA LIBRARY and RESOURCE CENTRE, when the DR TUNDE DIYA FOUNDATION (DTDF) was inaugurated.

The epoch making event attracted the creme de la creme of the society. It drew the attention and presence of the traditional rulers, the intelligentsia, Community builders and leaders of thoughts.

The brain behind this lofty idea is Babatunde Diya, a young dashing and versatile medical doctor, who had decided to take the bull by the horn and make life better for the weak, needy, poor and physically challenged members of the society through the Dr Tunde Diya Foundation.

The idea which has been strategically placed to run under THE YELLOW INITIATE can also be accessed through www.dtdf.com.ng, the official website of the foundation.

The event was set to have His Excellency, Gen Oladipo Diya (read) GCON, MNI as the Chairman of the occasion, with Hon. Femi Onakoya, Transition Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, the Chief Host.Kabiyesi Alaye of Odogbolu, Oba Onagoruwa, Elesi 1, led other dignitaries including Prof and Prof Mrs Atinmo; Hon. Atinuke .Bello (the Chief Whip, Ogun State House of Assembly), Prof and Prof Mrs Oyinkansola Cole; High Chief Adegboyega Ogunnaike; Captain and Mrs Sunny Adegbuyi to mention but a few.

A thorough bred, the young Tunde began his primary education at Command Children School Ikeja. Then Kings College Lagos from where he traveled abroad to Bruce College Dublin Ireland. From there, he moved to Medical University of Warsaw, Poland. He had since moved across Teaching Hospitals where he honed his medical skills.

Tunde’s father, His Excellency, Gen. Oladipo Diya GCON, MNI is a highly reputed Statesman and former Chief of General Staff and de facto Military Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is the Asiwaju of Odogbolu; a foremost philanthropist and staunch advocate of Community Development.

Right from his medical school days, his vision has always been to effect real change through the power of modern medicine and philanthropy.
