Final Farewell as Family Announces Burial Plans for Late Nollywood Actress Allwell Ademola

The family of late Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola has officially announced details of her burial arrangements, bringing clarity and solemn reflection to fans and colleagues still grappling with the loss of the beloved screen star.

The announcement was made public by her cousin, respected actor and filmmaker Muyiwa Ademola, who shared the information on social media on behalf of the family.

According to the statement, a Service of Songs will be held on Thursday, January 8, followed by a candlelight procession to honour the actress whose life and career touched many within and beyond the Nigerian film industry. The final burial rites are scheduled for Friday, January 9, at Atan Cemetery in Yaba, Lagos.

The family also released a dress code for both events. Attendees at the Service of Songs on Thursday will receive a customised T-shirt at the venue, while guests attending the burial on Friday are requested to come dressed in white shirts and jeans, in keeping with the colour code of white as a symbol of peace and remembrance.

Part of the family statement read:
“The burial arrangement for Princess Allwell Ademola. Note: On Thursday, a customised T-shirt will be provided at the venue. While on Friday for the burial, you can come wearing a white shirt with jeans. The colour code is white. Thank you, everyone.”

Allwell Ademola passed away on December 27 at the age of 49 after reportedly suffering a heart attack at her residence, according to reports by Awijare News. News of her death sent shockwaves across Nollywood, with actors, producers, directors and fans taking to social media to share heartfelt tributes, memories and prayers.

Known for her warmth, professionalism and dedication to her craft, Allwell Ademola built a quiet but impactful presence in Nollywood, earning respect from peers and affection from audiences who admired her roles and personality.

The family expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming show of support, prayers and condolences received since her passing, praying that her soul finds eternal rest and peace.
