The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership has opened fans’ voting for its December 2025 Player of the Month award, setting the stage for a thrilling contest between four outstanding performers who lit up the league in the final month of the year.

The voting exercise which is being conducted on the Nigeria Women Football League WhatsApp Channel remains open until 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. The nominees represent a blend of consistency, brilliance and match-winning impact from some of the league’s most competitive sides.

The contenders are Atume Doosuur of Edo Queens, Alaba Olabiyi of Bayelsa Queens, Kemi Adegbuyi of FC Robo Queens and Ramotalahi Kareem of Rivers Angels. Three Queens and one Angel now stand between glory and history as the last NWFL individual award winner of 2025 emerges.

Atume Doosuur Edo Queens

Atume Doosuur was nothing short of sensational throughout December, delivering goals when her team needed them the most. The Edo Queens forward found the back of the net in three consecutive matches against Heartland Queens, Ekiti Queens and Adamawa Queens.

What made her run remarkable was the direct impact of each strike. All three goals proved decisive as Edo Queens picked up maximum points in each encounter. Atume’s consistent composure and ability to rise in defining moments marked her out as one of the most reliable attackers in the league during the month.

Alaba Olabiyi Bayelsa Queens

Alaba Olabiyi produced one of the most dominant attacking displays of the season in December with performances that captured national attention. Her standout moment came in Abuja, where Bayelsa Queens dismantled Naija Ratels FC 5–0 away from home.

Alaba was at the heart of everything, recording two goals and an assist in a masterclass that underlined her attacking intelligence and creative influence. Her ability to dictate play from advanced positions and unlock defences was instrumental in Bayelsa Queens’ emphatic run during the month.

Kemi Adegbuyi FC Robo Queens

Young and fearless Kemi Adegbuyi announced herself as one of the brightest attacking prospects in the NWFL with a prolific December showing for FC Robo Queens.

The forward scored three goals across the month, starting with a brace in a commanding 4–0 victory over Confluence Queens. She followed that up with another goal in the heated Lagos derby, where FC Robo Queens cruised to a 5–1 win over Dannaz Ladies. Kemi’s sharp eye for movement, goal and confidence in front of goal made her a constant threat and a joy to watch.

Ramotalahi Kareem Rivers Angels

Rivers Angels’ Ramotalahi Kareem delivered when the stakes were highest. The Nigeria Under 20 international showcased maturity beyond her years by scoring two vital match-winning goals in tight encounters.

Her goals secured a hard-fought 2–1 win against Pacesetter Queens and a narrow 1–0 victory over Ibom Angels. In games decided by fine margins, Ramotalahi’s composure in front of goal proved invaluable, highlighting her growing importance to the Rivers Angels setup.
