With the 2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight Playoffs just around the corner, the promotion-chasing Barau FC has received a timely and electrifying morale boost from none other than its founder and chief patron, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate.

In an inspiring show of solidarity and belief in the team’s mission, Senator Barau paid a surprise visit to the club’s training ground on Monday, just days before the crucial playoff fixtures that will determine which clubs advance to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). His visit wasn’t just ceremonial—it came with a tangible pledge of financial support, signalling strong institutional backing for the club’s promotion bid.

“We are here to visit and motivate you, the young players of Barau FC. My vision is to see this club among the top teams in Nigeria and eventually in the world. By the grace of God, I will support you in every possible way to gain promotion to the NPFL,” Senator Barau passionately declared during his address to the players and staff.

The club’s management, technical crew, and players welcomed the visit with warmth and gratitude. Media Officer Ahmad Hamisu Gwale emphasized the psychological and practical value of the gesture, describing it as a reinforcement of the club’s founding principles and unwavering ambition.

Club Chairman Ambassador Ibrahim Shitu Chanji, alongside Board Member Alhaji Abdul AP, Sporting Director Yahya Muhammad, and Technical Adviser Rabi’u Tata, expressed deep appreciation for Senator Barau’s continued support. For them, his involvement is more than a morale booster—it’s a cornerstone of the club’s ongoing growth and ambition.

Barau FC’s journey has been one of steady ascent, driven by a combination of local talent, visionary leadership, and grassroots development. As they prepare to battle for one of the coveted NPFL spots, the team’s spirits are high, and their focus is clear.
